Early Modern Hispanic Studies Symposium


About This Event

We are happy to have eight presentations this year in the symposium from our colleagues and graduate students. Moreover, we are delighted to have our keynote speaker, Dr. Luis Bernabé Pons, who is a Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Alicante, Spain, and this year he is a Ciplijauskaité Fellow at the Institute for Research in Humanities at the University of Wisconsin. He will be presenting on his latest research on Moriscos (Muslims converts to Christianity) and Cervantes in Early Modern Spain and the Mediterranean.
