Dialogue: Military Veterans: Transition from War and Service to Higher Education

About This Event

This event is part of a year-long working group and Dialogue series: Military Veterans’ Stories of Belonging, Transition, and Higher Education: Bridging the Civilian-Military Divide. Throughout the academic year, we are convening a number of dialogues about military veterans in higher education. The Dialogue series is a collaboration between corridor partners at the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) and the Forensic & Security Sciences Institute at Syracuse University, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), and Le Moyne College. Our February dialogue will focus on Military Veterans: Transition from War and Service to Higher Education. Led by panelists who have personal, academic, and professional experience with the subject matter, we will discuss the transition from military culture to higher education, and also touch on the transition from military service and higher education to the civilian workforce.
