Upstate New York Conference in Early Modern Philosophy (UNYWEMP)

About This Event

This two-day, discussion-oriented conference will feature four invited speakers and four Corridor faculty presenting papers on figures and topics in early modern (17th-18th century) philosophy. Corridor graduate and undergraduate students working in the area will chair sessions and provide comments to spark audience discussion of the papers. The conference aims to 1) foster collaboration between scholars across several institutions; 2) foster advances in philosophical research; 3) enable Corridor graduate and undergraduate students to engage with scholars from institutions other than their own; and 4) enhance the visibility of multiple Corridor institutions as great places for work on early modern philosophy.
