The CNY Humanities Corridor Sound and Media working group invites you to a guided discussion of Vinciane Despret, Living as a Bird. Prof. Holly Watkins, Minehan Family Professor of Musicology at Eastman, will lead a discussion about the sonic ecology of bird territories in relation to the politics of scientific animal studies. All participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book (first come first serve), and lunch will be provided.
