Italian Media Thought: A Working Hypothesis

About This Event

Francesco Zucconi (Iuav University, Venice) will be offering a working hypothesis for Italian media thought, in which he traces a tradition of Italian reflection on media, technology, and culture that has developed across centuries of Italian history. Drawing on figures and frameworks largely underexplored in Anglophone scholarship, Zucconi maps the tradition and asks what "Italian media thought" might mean as a coherent field of inquiry. Timothy Campbell (Cornell University) will respond.
