Improvisation Workshop
About This Event
Syracuse will host students from other Corridor institutions for a workshop around improvisation using the Crouse College Holtkamp in Setnor Auditorium and the Greg Harrold organ for the new Catholic Center, recently installed in January 2026. Anne Laver (SU) will introduce the organs and their context, and Ivan Bosnar (SU) and William Porter (U of R) will lead improvisation workshops on both organs. In between workshops, we will have a group lunch at Hendricks Chapel.
Featured Guests
The presenters for this workshop are Ivan Bosnar, instructor of organ and improvisation at Syracuse University and William Porter, professor of improvisation at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester.
