Collaborative Retreat at Prospect Street Writers House

About This Event

The event is an in-person multi-day retreat at Prospect Street Writers House in North Bennington, Vermont. The set up of this residency space will enable us to work collaboratively over a concentrated period of time. This retreat is connected both to pedagogical development and to scholarly progression, dedicating time to cultivating shared resources, addressing challenges related to course content given external political pressures, and brainstorming ways to support the communities on and across our respective campuses. Goals: Share and revise syllabi for LGBTQ+, Gender, and Sexuality courses in collaboration Discuss gender, sexuality, and queer studies and the state of the humanities in higher education Develop plan for working group moving forward, including upcoming events, potential speakers, programming on our various campuses; work on relevant scholarship, whether individual or collaborative.
