Community of Practice: Adapting Humanities Research Without Site Access

Are you a humanities scholar who can no longer travel to your research site(s)? The CNY Humanities Corridor is piloting a community of practice for humanists to share strategies, resources, and support for navigating this challenging geopolitical reality. Whether it’s inaccessible archives, communities, or field sites, the goal of this community of practice is to provide an informal space to discuss what's working, what's difficult, and how you're adapting your research methods and career paths. Together, we'll build a network of colleagues who understand the unique pressures of conducting humanities research under these constraints and brainstorm alternate paths forward.

All humanities faculty from the 11 Corridor institutions who are facing travel limitations to their research sites are welcome. Please share this announcement with your colleagues who may be experiencing these challenges. Direct any questions to Aimee Germain, aagermai@syr.edu.
