Saving the University from Doom: Abolition Feminism and Community Rebellions in the Classroom and Beyond
About This Event
This workshop proposes radical community—the co-creation of safe, shared spaces within the university—and abolition feminism—the anti-colonial strategy for attending to the urgency at hand while imagining a better world otherwise— as an antidote to the ethical dilemma we face as a university community to confront the legacies of colonialism and slavery and co-create freedom in our classrooms and beyond. Open to all graduate students, staff, and faculty at SU and beyond. Registration is required and space is limited.
