Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Dialogue: Epistemologías Andinas y Amazónicas
About This Event
This roundtable will feature a conversation with Dr. Barret (editor) and Dr. Fabiano and Artzi (authors) from the book Epistemologías Andinas y Amazónicas (PUCP, 2024). This publication holds significant theoretical and analytical value for our group due to its discussion of the relationship between the Andean and Amazonian areas. Attendees will benefit from an interdisciplinary approach to these biomes, which have been understood and studied as entirely separate, particularly from Orientalist and colonial perspectives. We aim to challenge these viewpoints and provide an opportunity to examine their environmental, historical, social, and cultural connections.
