About the film
The director made this film upon returning to her hometown, Harbin, at age 24. After being away for six years, she decided to end the chase and reflect on her life journey. Revisiting places and times that shaped who she became, the director contemplates her relationship with her mother and her hometown, ruminating on what has become of dream and reality. This film is the director’s debut work, a personal documentary about self-discovery and self-construal. Watch the film trailer.

- Film director: Li Xinyue, born in Harbin in 1996, worked in Beijing for two years after graduating from university. In 2020, Li Xinyue returned to Harbin and joined the Caochangdi Workstation creative community, launching a series of writing and video creation projects under the name "New Moon".
